Finally our angel is here!!!

Mitch and I were up late hanging out in the nursery imagining how and when our little angel would come into our lives. I still had a week until my actual due date so we weren't planning on anything happening anytime soon.
Wrapping up our late night around 2 a.m. we were both excited and couldn't wait for what was to come....
I woke up at 4:30 a.m. to a warm gush all around me. I started laughing as I turned to Mitch and told him that I thought my water broke. We both got up and were a little frantic as we scrambled around gathering our things and thoughts. I went into the bathroom and started curling my hair, it was the only thing that I knew to do that felt 'right' to me at the time.
We arrived at Mckay Dee Hospital in Ogden Utah around 6:30 a.m. Once we registered and got settled into our delivery room the contractions started. I tried to tough out the intense contractions as long as I could, thinking I had to wait as long as possible (as if it was some sort of womanly thing I had to do) but I finally gave in and had Mitch ask the nurse for my happy drugs.

Once I received the epidural everything seemed to slow down. I took a nap, chewed on ice chips and waited with Mitch, Grandma Brooks, and LaRaine. 

The nurse came back in our room around 4:30 p.m. and instructed me to start pushing. With the help of Mitch and Grandma Brooks on each side of me I pushed for an hour and a half.

Dr Davis showed up and a few pushes later our angel Ella Audrie Buchanan came into our lives.

 She was perfect! Here are a bunch of photos to show off our Sweetie.

I'm awful at posting and I don't feel like it's going to get better anytime soon, but for some reason on this rather relaxing Sunday I got in a blog kinda mood. So I thought I would update random parts of the Summer up to now.

Mitch and I had our one year anniversary on October 9th! Its hard to believe a year has gone by. To celebrate Mitch surprised me with a little getaway to Park City. We stayed in a suit at the Newpark Hotel, it was amazing we even had a hot tube on our balcony!We did a lot of shopping and relaxing, we spent a lot of time at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory too I thought I was going to lose Mitch to the bear right outside.although I wouldn't blame him, that bear is quite a looker:)


It was wonderful, and so hard to leave!

On the 21st of this month Mitch turned 32!!! We had a small celebration which included dinner at Outback then back home for icecream cake and presents.

I kinda got carried away with the Ute stuff this year! Go UTES!!!!!!

Another thing that Mitch has been doing a ton of these past couple of months is fishing

Here is one of he's catches that he is most proud of that he got this year, he just had to bring it home to show me...18 inches!

Valentine's Day

I know, I know it's really late, but that's just how I roll...or something like that.

This year Mitch and I surprised each other with bouquets. He gave me a flower bouquet and I gave him a candy one. He loved it!!

He also got me Krispy Kremes shaped in hearts (he knows me and my sweet tooth too well) and the DVD Beauty and the Beast!! We're trying to collect all the Disney Bluerays so it was very fitting. GOSH, I'm so spoiled.

Birthday Weekend

First off let me apologize for no pictures this post. I just had way too much fun to think about pulling out the camera and saying "CHEESE!"
My birthday started out with breakfast in bed, but not just any breakfast McDonald's Breakfast!!! MMMmmm I'm lovin' it!! He had me open some presents and then went off to school while I got to stay home and relax. When he got home from school he informed me we were heading up to Park City for the day. We spent most of our time shopping at the outlets and then ate at our new favorite restaurant Pizza & Noodle on Main. We fell in love with it on our honeymoon and have been addicted ever since!!!! The day was completed with calls from my family and friends! It was a great way to turn 25!
The next day Josh, Kensey, Ayden and Link came down to play with us. We went to Chilli's ate way too many Krispy Kreme donuts and played games! We had so much fun! I made them stay the night and tried to convince them to spend Sunday with us too, But I think they were ready to go home! Next time I'll have to make them bring Sunday clothes. hehe
I am truly blessed to have such wonderful people in my life who helped make my birthday so wonderful and for my fantastic husband I love him so much!!!

Our 1st Christmas Tree!

Mitch and I were very lucky this year to get such a beautiful Christmas Tree! Mitch's brother and sister-in-law needed a bigger tree for there house and being the awesome people that they are they gave us there old one. WE LOVE IT!!! Its the perfect size for our house too!

We decided to decorated it silver and white, but mitch being the BIG Utes fan that he is just had to buy a Ute ornament. Thats the red Ornament that you see in the middle of our tree. Gosh I love him!!!!
